Vendor Profile: Elegant Linens

I can remember searching for a company to provide linens and chaircovers. I looked high and low; doing web searches, attending bridal shows and asking friends. Because of the venue that I had booked, Elegant Linens was the only company in Houston that provided the chaircovers that I needed for a particular chair (club chairs). After contacting Beth Flores, I remembered that I had encountered her table at the Bridal Extravaganza and that she had offered me a discount at the time (It was even written on the card...ha!). Elegant Linens was very professional and efficient and the black and white chaircovers were beautiful! As a bride/groom the last thing you want to worry about is set-up and that was the least of my worries that day thanks to Elegant Linens!

Here ya go:

Bella Gives it To You!!

I'm not a Twilight fan, but Bella worked it on her wedding day! Girlfriend was on point with a silk, backless number with beautiful beading to the floor! Her accessories were a perfect match with Manolos to set off the look. Achieve the same glamour by viewing the same items below! Happy planning!!

Flower Power

Check out these arrangements by yours truly!

Toss the Toss

How many weddings have you gone to and the bouquet and garter toss were done? It's so done! Why not change up the game and implement an Anniversary Dance!?! This is easily carried out by having your DJ or band play a song of your choice and call all married couples to the floor. He begins by asking the couple that's been married for less than 6 hours to leave the dance floor. Right away you and your groom will be the first to leave. This continues until you have the couple that's been married the longest dancing. They can announce how long they've been married, offer some words of wisdom and take photos with you! It's a cute way to honor and celebrate both old and new love. Plus you get away from the traditional bouquet/garter toss.

Bridesmaids: How many is too many?

Via Google

It's time to select your bridesmaids; the women that will grace your side up until that special moment; girls you've laughed and cried with. How do you go about it? Well, I chose those to whom I am closest AND that I could rely on. My husband did the same, however we ended up cutting two guys in the end due to unforeseen circumstances. I had five girls and he had two guys. Needless to say, we were unbalanced. BUT the problem was solved by having each person walk down the aisle with their own moment to shine. Nobody noticed and the pictures still came out great!

I'm not a fan of huge bridal parties, but if it's your thing, then do your thing! Just don't take the focus away from the reason you've all gathered ;)

Sheer Decadence: Cakes By Gina

Besides the dress, I do's and magical kiss, one of the most memorable elements of your special day is the cake. Your guests will either rave about it (taste and design), making their way to the table for seconds or politely (hopefully) push it to the side of the table and to the back of their mind.

Thanks to Cakes By Gina, I didn't have one unsatisfied guest (to my knowledge). Let me just tell you about their company overall. The staff and Gina herself were very knowledgable and accommodating. We made two appointments (cake tasting thanks to my husband) and they were sure to capture every detail of our vision for the cake. The cake melted in my mouth and was baked to perfection. On the day of our wedding, it was set up exactly as promised. See our pictures below.

Color Splash

Affiong and Brent vowed their love to one another outside in front of a big beautiful tree, amid close friends and family. Affiong truly played up the color and was not afraid to channel her inner skittle (taste the rainbow). This woman truly captured the essence of color with pinks, yellows and oranges; from the decor to the cutie patootie flower girls and ringbearer. Ladies, what have we all learned from Affiong?

DON'T BE AFRAID OF COLOR!! It won't bite :)
