What proposal would you like?

When your guy pops the question, how would you like it to be done? I personally don't mind being in the spotlight, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. My proposal was actually pretty public. How did he propose? In front of his family; his WHOLE family!! So while I was super excited, I was also significantly nervous! Eeek! I was singled out on the dance floor of a family gathering and what's more I was dancing to Beyonce's Single Ladies. Needless to say, he poured his heart out, asked for my hand in marriage and I said YES!

The Ring: Bling or No Bling?

So let's kick this blog off right with a crucial part of the proposal: the ring!!! Which do you prefer? Yellow gold, white gold, platinum? White diamonds or yellow diamonds? Princess cut or round? Pick your poison!! There is so much that goes into picking out the perfect ring. Have you ever thought about what your boyfriend goes through when picking out your ring? If he's like most men, he doesn't have a clue about where to start. Even if he has some idea, he could easily be deterred when he gets to the jewelry store.

Word to the wise: you may want to leave him a couple of hints. Or if you have a BFF, keep her in the loop and let her help out! However you go about it, be sure to use fine details if you don't want to be disappointed.
